DLP-IOx DOS window utility for sending single byte commands.

This utility was originally written for use with the DLP-IOR4 but it will work with our other products that take single byte, ascii commands. This utility can be called from batch files and can control multiple DLP-IOx products at the same time.

To use this utility, first open a DOS window (Click on Start, type CMD and press Enter). Change directories to the folder where you saved the program. Then run the program DLP-IO-SSB as show in the following examples.

DLP-IO-SSB DLP-IOR4 1
DLP-IO-SSB DLP-IOR4 Q
DLP-IO-SSB DLP-IOR4 2
DLP-IO-SSB DLP-IOR4 W
DLP-IO-SSB DLP-IOR4 3
DLP-IO-SSB DLP-IOR4 e
DLP-IO-SSB DLP-IOR4 4
DLP-IO-SSB DLP-IOR4 R

Type the name of the program followed by the name of the module followed by the single byte command listed in the datasheet. Up to 4 commands can be sent per program execution. Be sure to put a space between each command character. For example:

DLP-IO-SSB DLP-IOR4 1 q 4 w

While the case of the program name (DLP-IO-SSB) does not matter, the case of the name of the module (EX: DLP-IOR4) does. Be sure to type the module name in all upper case. The module name must match the Description string programmed into the module's EEPROM memory. The name can be changed using the MPROG or FT_Prog utility.

You will need to disable the VCP drivers via Properties in Device Manager because this app uses the D2XX direct drivers. Read Note 2: at the bottom of the page at www.dlpdesign.com for more information on drivers.
